Clemson TakeNote
Music Director

TakeNote is Clemson University's all-female pop a cappella ensemble. The group is comprised of 12-16 women selected from the larger Clemson choral ensembles by multi-faceted audition process. While highlighting vocal percussion and soloists, TakeNote performs popular music ranging from the 1960s to contemporary songs. Serving as Music Director has allowed me to lead rehearsals, facilitate performances, and fine-tune our repertoire.

Internships

International Affairs Programs Intern
Fall 2023 | Greenville, SC

During my time as the International Affairs Programs Intern with Upstate International in Greenville, SC, I honed my administrative and interpersonal skills from a culturally sensitive perspective. Working for a non-profit organization was a unique experience that taught me the value of grassroots engagement and personal connection with the community.

The majority of my internship was spent preparing for the 2023 Global Upstate Conference. The 2023 Global Upstate Conference on International Business and World Affairs, presented by the World Affairs Council Upstate and hosted at the City of Greer Event Hall and the Cannon Centre, was an interdisciplinary event that brought scholars and leaders together for serious and thoughtful discussions about the most pressing issues and opportunities facing the world. Over the course of two days in October 2023, the conference hosted representatives of different international companies, government agencies, national think-tanks, universities, the military, non-governmental organizations, and many more. Preparations for this event included creating marketing materials, coordinating speakers, and registration efforts for attendees. Working on the details for this event and seeing it come to fruition was a fulfilling glimpse into international business and nonprofit management.
